Meet Maisha Tory, Chiropractic Assistant
The choice of becoming a chiropractor was driven by my strong desire to improve people’s quality of life and general wellbeing in a meaningful way.”
Maisha was motivated to follow this route after observing the healing potential of chiropractic care, which emphasises holistic approaches. The idea of addressing dysfunction and pain at their core instead of just managing symptoms appealed to her. To prepare for her career, Maisha earned a Bachelor of Medical Science (UNSW) and is currently working towards a Master of Chiropractic (MQUni).
Fostering Relationships
Maisha has also found a sense of purpose and contentment by being able to form enduring relationships with patients and observing their development personally.
Finding Fulfilment Helping Others
As a CA at the practice, Maisha finds it rewarding to use natural, non-invasive approaches to relieve patients’ pain and enhance their quality of life. She finds it extremely satisfying to watch patients restore normal function, become less dependent on medicine, and energetically resume their usual activities and get back to the things they love doing. “This sense of fulfilment is made even greater by lasting connections that are formed with patients, where progress is continually tracked and applauded.” For Maisha, it’s satisfying to know that chiropractic care has a significant effect on people’s entire wellbeing and long-term health, which makes it a highly fulfilling career for her.

When she’s not at Wellness Chiropractic, Maisha loves cruising with her partner or friends, sightseeing and exploring new lookouts and beaches. Checking out new restaurants and foods is another favourite activity.
